CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - We have issued a dry 9-day forecast, and it is incredibly overdue. Plan on a chilly day with gusty wind through mid-afternoon. Highs will only be in the 40-45 range, though the clouds will scatter out as the day goes on.
Tonight, temperatures will drop quickly, leading to a frost and freeze situation over most of our area. Of all the chaos this month has brought, this is about the average time for a frost or freeze.
A weak low pressure system does approach the area tomorrow, however, it appears the air will be too dry to support anything other than thick clouds.
This weekend, another cold front will push through and could again bring some clouds at times.
Temperatures next week will be cool to start off, then moderate to seasonal normals around the end of the week.
