Coe receives large grant to study glass
Coe College in Cedar Rapids is receiving a grant of $636,000 to fund research on glass.
The money is coming from the National Science Foundation. Coe will use it for student-faculty research on the science of glass.
The study will take place over the next four years on-campus and in some leading laboratories around the world. Coe students who are involved will travel to England, Japan, Italy, and Brazil to conduct research.
This is the latest in a series of grants Coe's science programs have received since 1986.
