CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Plan on clouds to build through the day as low pressure comes our way from the southwest. Highs will be back in the lower 30s.
Tonight, snow will move in from the southwest, especially affecting areas along and south of Highway 30. It's very likely that Highway 20 will receive very little snow.
Saturday, plan on snow to be around most of the day, mainly from Highway 30/Cedar Rapids and points south. Total accumulation will range from a dusting around Highway 20 to around 2 inches around Highway 30/Cedar Rapids. For Iowa City and points south, look for a 2-4" snowfall out of this system. An isolated 5" amount over southeast Iowa cannot be entirely discounted.
Right behind it, it'll be chilly, but with no Arctic air around, temperatures will average around seasonal normals. Plan on dry conditions Sunday through Tuesday. By the end of the 9-day, a colder and more active pattern is likely.
