Clinton firefighter Adam Cain "is doing great and on the road to recovery," the fire department posted on Facebook Monday.

Cain, 23, was seriously hurt when a grain-silo exploded at the Clinton ADM plant on Jan. 5.

The Facebook post goes on to say, "His humor is contagious like usual! Wants to spend his time in the waiting room with the guys."

The investigation into the explosion at ADM remains under investigation by OSHA and NIOSH.

Another firefighter, Lt. Eric Hosette, 33, was hurt in the explosion. He died from his injuries at Mercy Hospital.

Cain was taken to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for treatment.
