CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - We're pretty well socked in the clouds this afternoon as colder air has settled in. Highs will be in the upper 30s with a breezy northwest wind of 15 to 25 mph, adding an extra chill. We should get some breaks in the clouds tonight, but they'll fill back in tomorrow with highs again in the upper 30s.
Snow spreads across the area tomorrow night with minor accumulation, which may cause some slow-downs for the morning drive. We should get a lull Friday morning before another round comes through in the afternoon through the evening. A coating to an inch is likely and a stripe of higher amounts will probably happen, but there's little confidence on where that will occur at this time. It'll be turning windy Friday afternoon, too.
Cold weather hangs on with highs in the 30s, and possible a couple of upper 20s, through the middle of next week.
