Chicago Wanted Fugitive May be in Eastern Iowa

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) - A man wanted for murder in Chicago may be in eastern Iowa. The U.S. Marshals Service is looking for Kevin Edwards, 22, who is wanted for the murder of Tyshawn Lee, 9, in November of 2015.

Authorities believe Edwards fled Illinois after the murder and has connections throughout eastern Iowa. The Marshals Service does not know his current location.

Edwards has an extensive criminal history and is considered armed and dangerous. Edwards is 6-foot-1 and weighs 200 pounds. The Marshals Service said Edwards may have cut his hair since the murder.

The Marshals are offering up to $5,000 for information leading to Edwards' arrest. Anyone who knows where Edwards is located is asked to contact the nearest U.S. Marshals office or the U.S. Marshals Service Communications Center at 1-800-336-0102.
