On January 5th last year, Clinton firefighters were battling a fire at the ADM plant when a deadly explosion occurred. That fire killed 33-year-old Eric Hosette and injured 23-year-old Adam Cain.

An OSHA report determined that an unknown gas accidentally released into the sile caused the fire to ignite.

Adam Cain was back to light-duty work six months after the explosion. He suffered broken bones in his back, a bruised brain and other injuries.
