Coe College in Cedar Rapids is planning a memorial service for a psychology professor who died this week after a truck hit him while he was riding his bicycle.

The Celebration of Life for 58-year-old Daniel Lehn will take place in September. That will allow dozens of students and staff who are away for the summer to say goodbye once they return for the fall semester.

While that happens in September, the funeral for Professor Lehn will be this Saturday. It's at 4 the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories on 1st Ave. in Cedar Rapids.

The crash that killed Lehn happened Tuesday morning in North Liberty. Lehn's death is the eighth bicycle fatality in Iowa this year, and that's already twice the number of bicycle fatalities in all of last year.
