21 students from the University of Texas are cycling four thousand miles to raise money for cancer research.
The team made a stop in Iowa City today as part of the Texas 4000 - the longest student led charity ride from Austin, TX to Anchorage, AK. One of the riders is from Cedar Rapids. She's on day 32 of the 70 day journey and she said it's a life changing experience.
"It really makes pedaling that much easier when you know how many people are supporting you and we get to hear so many incredible stories" said Catherine Butschi of Cedar Rapids.
The goal is to raise 750 thousand dollars as they ride to honor those who have suffered from cancer.
