Cedar Rapids have another reason to celebrate Friday. A website ranks the city as the 4th best in the U.S. for St. Patrick's Day celebrations.

Buffalo, N.Y. topped the list of 200 cities, followed by Madison, Wis., Boston, and Cedar Rapids. Des Moines came in at 75th best city.

Wallet Hub ranked the most 200 populated cities across four key dimensions: St. Patrick’s Day Traditions, Costs, Safety & Accessibility, and St. Patrick’s Day Weather.

Cedar Rapids ranked first for safety and 14th for traditions, but only 69th for costs, and 150th for weather.

Wallet Hub also said Cedar Rapids has the 3rd highest percentage of population who are Irish, and has the fewest DUI-related fatalities per capita.

According to the St. Patrick's Day Parade Society (SAPADAPASO), Cedar Rapids held its first St. Patrick's Day parade in 1976. This year will be the 42nd annual parade, always on March 17, no matter the weather. You can watch it live on KCRG 9.2.

The

has details on this year's parade, which begins at 1 p.m.
