CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) -- Authorities have identified the driver of a school bus that struck and seriously injured a Cedar Rapids student and they have a history of traffic citations.

Darla Ogden is 53 and lives in Cedar Rapids. Police say her bus hit a teenager Thursday morning when she drove through a red light on Mount Vernon Road near 26th Street southeast. That collision seriously injured 15 year old Cameron Smeby who is now at University of Iowa Hospitals.

For this latest incident Ogden has been cited for failure to obey a traffic control device. I9 searched Ogden's court history and found she has had eight other driving violations going back to 2000. It was that year she was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device and for not having registration. She received the same citation again in 2004, 2007, and 2008. It was also in 2008 she picked up another citation for failing to obey a traffic control device. In 2012 she got another no registration citation and was cited again for not having registration in 2014.

Records show Ogden's violations occurred in Cedar Rapids, Linn County, Hiawatha, and Clayton County.
