CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) The city council in Cedar Rapids moved forward with plans for a new multi-family housing complex for low and moderate income families.
It would be along the 2700 block of 33rd Avenue Southwest. The area would be defined as a "REM Mentor Urban Renewal Area."
The city is looking at using tax increment financing to help with development costs. The city council needs to pass two more readings before plans are finalized.
