CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) - At least the sun is shining on this cold day. Highs will be locked in the single digits across nearly all of eastern Iowa as wind chills stay below zero. That's because of a northwest wind blowing at 15 to 25 mph, sometimes gusting higher.

We'll drop well below zero tonight. Even though the wind will back down, wind chills are still going to be in the -15 to -25 range. Highs stay in the single digits Thursday and Friday.
