The body of a Grand View University student was recovered early Saturday evening, according to the Des Moines Register citing authorities.

Recovery teams had been searching a central Iowa lake for the body of the student, Kenton Greaves, who is a member of the wrestling team at the private Des Moines school. Officials said Greaves was from New York and studying criminal justice at the university.

Investigators said Greaves was on a boat Thursday afternoon with seven other friends on Lake Panorama when he fell into the water. Officials said several of his friends jumped into the water to try to save him.

A dive team searched the waters all day Friday.
