Archbishop of Dubuque out of the hospital after suffering heart attack

DUBUQUE. Iowa (KCRG) - An eastern Iowa catholic leader is home after suffering a heart attack.

Archbishop Michael Jakels went to a Dubuque hospital Friday, May 3. Surgeons installed two stents in his heart and he was in the intensive care unit over that weekend. Jackels got out of the hospital on Thursday, May 9.

He is the archbishop for the Archdiocese of Dubuque which includes parishes in Cedar Rapids, Dubuque and Waterloo.
