UPDATE: Still no cause in fatal Benton County Fire, but foul play not suspected

BENTON COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) - The Benton County Sheriff's Office has released the names of the two men who died in a house fire early Tuesday morning as 91-year-old Robert L. Michalec and his 69-year-old son Allen L. Michalec.

The Iowa State Fire Marshal Division said investigators have not yet determined a cause, but they do not suspect foul play.

A father and son died in an early morning fire in Benton County while a daughter was able to jump out a window.

The fire started around 2:00 am Tuesday on 16th Ave north of Keystone. Firefighters tell KCRG-TV9 an elderly family was living in the home and three people were stuck inside. The daughter was able to jump to safety out of a window but her father and brother did not make it out. The daughter did suffer injuries and was taken to the hospital. Their names have not been released.

Firefighters are searching for a cause.
