DELHI, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) - A tornado that hit Delaware and Dubuque counties on Saturday has now been upgraded to an EF1 force tornado.
A KCRG-TV9 viewer posted video of the tornado passing over Delhi Lake as a water spout, which helped the National Weather Service confirm the tornado.
The NWS rated that tornado as an EF1 twister, the second lowest grade on the scale, with winds of 90 miles per hour. The tornado only caused tree damage.
A second tornado from the same storm hit near Worthington as a weaker EF0 with 70 mile per hour winds. That tornado damaged crops and ripped shingles off farm buildings.
