Three people have pleaded guilty to robbing a bank in the Linn County community of Palo.
Federal prosecutors say 33-year-old Lance Monden, from Cedar Rapids; 36-year-old Stanley Mosley, from Coralville; and 39-year-old Katherine Pihl, from Tiffin, were arrested ten minutes after robbing the Palo Savings Bank on May 20.
Bank employees set off an alarm about 2:40 p.m. They told deputies two subjects entered the bank wearing hoodies and masks, demanded money and then left with an unknown amount of cash. Witnesses told officers they left the bank on foot and got into a gray Ford Taurus.
A few minutes later a sheriff's deputy located the Taurus and stopped it. Pohl was driving the car, and officers found Mosley and Monden hiding in the trunk.
All three face up to 20 years in prison. A judge has not set a sentencing date.
