Kalie is very excited to move back to the Midwest to get closer to family and friends.
Kalie joined KCRG-TV9 in May 2019. She comes from TV9's sister station in Shreveport, Louisiana where she was the weekend meteorologist, as well.
Kalie is originally from Westfield, Indiana and is a Hoosier at heart. She graduated from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana in December 2017 with a degree in Meteorology & Climatology and is a proud Cardinal! While in college, she was a weather intern at WMC Action News 5 in Memphis, Tennessee as well as at WISH-TV in Indianapolis. Spending most of her life in the Midwest, she is used to all four seasons and all the wild weather that comes with Midwest living.
While at Ball State, Kalie was involved all across campus. She held the Chief Weather Forecaster position for her campus’ TV station, NewsLink Indiana, her last semester and forecasted for the station during her entire college career. Along with that, she was a proud co-founder of Ball State's only morning show, Waking Up with Cardinal Weather. During her freshman year of college, she was fortunate to head west and go storm chasing with a team from Ball State for two weeks. She is also a proud member of Kappa Delta Sorority.
Outside of weather, Kalie is an avid sports fan. She cheers on the Indianapolis Colts and the Indiana Pacers. When basketball season starts you can catch her watching the Indiana Hoosiers and the Butler Bulldogs. Her favorite time of the year is spring for two reasons: warmer temperatures and March Madness! Kalie also enjoys baking a wide variety of desserts. Feel free to reach out to her with places to go and eat in Cedar Rapids at firstname.lastname@example.org.
