Hope Blooms - Gems of Hope
Hope Blooms is an annual fundraiser for Gems of Hope that not only denotes both a sense hope and resilience to our community, but directly supports local cancer patients and their families. The fundraiser consists of purchasing daffodil bunches, daffodil arrangements, and potted daffodils as well as an annual mascot (the daffodil is one of the first flowers of the spring which symbolizes rejuvenation, hope and happiness for the future.). The daffodils are purchased for individual display or as a gift of hope which are then delivered to cancer patients undergoing treatment at local hospitals and treatment facilities. The annual mascot, a new cuddly stuffed animal each year, is purchased in the same manner, as a keepsake or as a gift for a child fighting cancer.

40th Annual Tribute to Women of Achievement – Waypoint Services
Each year, Waypoint upholds the rich tradition of recognizing women for their personal, professional, and civic contributions to the community through Tribute to Women of Achievement. Reflecting Waypoint’s mission of inspiring people to move forward, the women recognized are agents of change in the Corridor through their innovations, organizational enhancements, leadership, and service to others. Their efforts demonstrate the positive influence and impact women have in our community every day. To date, over 1,500 women have been recognized for their achievements.
The community is asked to nominate a deserving woman in their life, and all are celebrated at a luncheon. The event also includes a keynote speaker and is a fundraiser for Waypoint’s programs.
Nominations are due by Wednesday, February 9 at 5:00 p.m.
