I was born in Ramsey, Minnesota, which is a northwest suburb of the Twin Cities. Growing up, the news was always on from 5-6 p.m. and I always thought it would be cool to become a sportscaster.
Before joining KCRG in 2012, I started my career at Lakeland Public Television up in Bemidji, Minnesota. I started out as an intern, working the teleprompter, audio and cameras. A month before I graduated college, I became a full-time news/sports reporter for the station's bureau in Brainerd. I held the position for almost a year and a half before being promoted to Sports Director.
I attended Bemidji State University and have two degrees, one in Mass Communications and the other in Political Science. Before that, I attended Anoka-Ramsey Community College and received an Associate of Arts degree.
In my spare time, I love to fish, hunt and watch movies. I also love spending time with my three dogs: Archie, Jack and Dixie.
