DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - The man who died in a Davenport house fire last week has been identified.

Mark Fick, 73, died in a fire in the area of 3800 Johnson Avenue at Zenith Avenue, according to a media release.

Officials said the female victim is still hospitalized and described her condition as “stable.”

The four-year-old child who was rescued from the home has been released from the hospital.

Officials said the cause of the fire is accidental due to improperly disposing smoking material.

According to a Facebook post from Happy Joe’s Pizza, a member of the Happy Joe’s family, Gretchen Irwin, was impacted by the house fire, and Happy Joe’s is coming together to help.

Now through June 14, customers can stop by Happy Joe’s Bettendorf, W. 50th, or Locust and purchase a fundraiser card packed with Happy Joe’s deals for just $5, according to the post. Every dollar raised will go directly to the family.

Donations of home supplies and clothing, gas gift cards, grocery gift cards, and Walmart and Target gift cards are being accepted too, according to the post.

On Wednesday, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the W. 50th location, customers are invited to a Dine-to-Donate event. A portion of all sales during the event will be donated to support the family, the post said. Gretchen Irwin will be in attendance. There will also be a silent auction table, and a 50/50 raffle.

Additionally, The Ridge, 4750 Utica Ridge Road, posted to Facebook that they are accepting donations for the family.

The Ridge said at this time, the family is in need of donations including cash contributions, gas cards, grocery/food gift cards, Walmart and Target gift cards. Those donations can be dropped off to The Ridge and will all go to the family, officials said.
