North Fayette Valley wins the 1A state boys soccer championship, the first in program history

DES MOINES, Iowa (KCRG) - Less than a week ago, the Tigerhawks of North Fayette Valley had not won a game at the boys state soccer tournament.

But NFV had constant belief, and it paid off on Saturday night, with a 2-0 win over Van Meter in the 1A state championship game.

The two goals were scored by Decklyn Heins and Micah Zurbriggen.

Andre Fuentes was named All-Tournament team captain.
