Mercy Iowa City transitions to Univ. of Iowa Health Care
IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - Signage outside the former Mercy Iowa City building was replaced Wednesday morning, signifying new ownership following the purchase by University of Iowa Health Care.
Signs and door graphics now read “Iowa Health Care Downtown Campus,” in a visual sign of the changeover.
Staff with UIHC said they welcomed the former Mercy Iowa City staff to the team as the integration nears completion.
As of right now, UIHC says services will remain located as they currently are between the main campus and downtown campus. But UIHC says it’s still looking at the potential of moving things in the future. Staff plan to listen to the needs of patients before making a decision.
The integration of Mercy Iowa City into University of Iowa Health Care was completed on Wednesday.
Staff said the graphics on the sky bridge will be changed at a later date.
In December, University of Iowa Health Care announced updated branding as it expands into North Liberty and adds the former Mercy Iowa City campus.
