Kernels hold on to win first Midwest League championship since 1994

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Emmanuel Rodriguez hit a grand slam in the top of the second inning and the Cedar Rapids Kernels held on to beat the Great Lakes Loons 7-6 in a winner-take-all game three of the Midwest League championship. It marked the franchise’s first league title since 1994.
