UNI basketball player Austin Phyfe medically retires
Phyfe had surgery last June to remove blood clots on his lungs.

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (KCRG) - After missing last season with health issues, Northern Iowa forward Austin Phyfe announced he is medically retiring from basketball.
Phyfe earned all-conference honors in 2020 and 2021.
Phyfe had surgery last June to remove blood clots on his lungs.
