Amber Alert: Texas girls still missing; 1 suspect arrested
(Gray News) - Authorities in Texas are still searching for two girls after a suspect allegedly connected to their abduction was arrested.
Law enforcement officials believe the children are in grave or immediate danger.
The San Antonio Police Department issued an Amber Alert for Zylah Faulks, 2, and Kamil Brown-Sykes, 9. A photo has only been made available for Kamil.
Zylah is described as Black, 2 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 30 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Kamil is described as Black, 3 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 80 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
The Texas Department of Public Safety issued an update to the Amber Alert on Sunday, saying the girls are believed to be with 28-year-old Khadijah Faulks, their mother. She is described as Black with black hair and brown eyes. She is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 120 pounds.
Earlier, police were looking for 29-year-old Julio Najar-Trevino in connection with the girls’ disappearance. KSAT reports he was arrested Saturday for interference with child custody, according to an arrest affidavit.

Child Protective Services had gotten a court order to remove Zylah and Kamil from their home due to “neglectful supervision, poor living conditions and gun-related incidents in the residence,” an affidavit states.
Police told KSAT that CPS had tried several previous times to remove the children from their mother, but she refused to cooperate.
According to an affidavit, Najar-Trevino left the home with the children after he was informed of the court order. He then “dropped them off at an unknown location.” The Amber Alert was issued at that time.
Police say the suspect refused to tell them where Faulks and the children are currently.
Those with information on the disappearance should call San Antonio Police Department 210-207-7660 or 911.
