Central Iowa police chief dies due to COVID-19 complications

PRAIRIE CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - The Prairie City Police Department said Police Chief Michael German died on Thursday due to complications from COVID-19.
Prairie City is just east of Des Moines.
German served in the role since 2014.
The police department said German’s death is being considered a Line of Duty death.
