Cedar Rapids man sentenced to 2 years in prison for abusing his dog
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - A Cedar Rapids man will spend two years in prison for abusing his dog.
The puppy, named Kimble, was brought to the Critter Crusaders of Cedar Rapids on April 1st.
He had two fractured legs, as well as a right rear femur, and more injuries.
Authorities said the dog’s owner, 22-year-old Jayden Cliff, grabbed Kimble and threw him to the ground before kicking him repeatedly.
They said it happened after Kimble defecated on Cliff’s bed.
Cedar Rapids Critter Crusaders said they’re happy with the sentencing, and are grateful for everyone’s help and contributions.
As for Kimble, his casts are off, and he is recovering nicely.
Critter Crusaders said his surgery was successful, but he may have a few growth defects due to the damage.
They call him a “Super Puppy” and expect him to live a normal life.
