CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Cloud cover looks to break a bit this afternoon after a foggy start to the day. Highs will be in the low 30s. Clouds build in overnight ahead of our next system moving through the area tomorrow.

A wintry mix and freezing rain will be likely in the morning, before transitioning into snow. Areas could see between 2-4″ of snowfall, but as the arctic front moves through it will bring with it high winds. This could bring blizzard conditions tomorrow afternoon and evening, which will make travel very dangerous and difficult. Winds could cause roads to ice over along with a blowing snow threat.

Temperatures will also drop quickly through the day tomorrow. Highs will be reached in the morning and will be in the teens & 20s by the evening. Lows tomorrow night drop into the single digits, then arctic air settles in through next week dropping lows well below zero. Another chance of snow comes Saturday.
