Iowa holds off Rutgers 90-84 to extend home-winning streak to 41

IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - The Iowa Hawkeyes held off the Rutgers Scarlet Knights 90-84 on Thursday afternoon to improve their record on the season to 6-1.

With the win, the Hawkeyes extended their home-winning streak to 41 games.

Five Hawkeyes scored in double figures, with freshman Caitlin Clark leading the way with a game-high 28 points. McKenna Warnock netted 18, Monika Czinano added 17, Kate Martin dropped 12 and Gabbie Marshall added 10 points in the win.

Iowa heads to Champaign, Illinois, to take on the Illini on January 3rd. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. (CT), and the game will be streamed on BTN Plus.
