CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - A few retail stores operated by a major Midwest cellular network operator will be offering equipment to help keep devices charged, according to the company.

U.S. Cellular will offer free wall and car chargers, along with portable power packs, to users who have been impacted by Monday’s storms at four stores it operates in Iowa. The locations offering the equipment include:

Cedar Rapids: 4444 First Avenue NE

Marshalltown: 901 S. Center Street

Davenport: 351 West Kimberly Road

Des Moines: 3800 Merle Hay Road

The company said that damage to communications lines, owned by outside companies, that connect their cellular network to the rest of the world is limiting service, but that crews continue to work to restore service. Data, voice, and text overages will be waived between now and August 31 for their customers.

The company also said they donated $10,000 to the American Red Cross to help in relief efforts.
