Storm-damaged TestIowa sites reopened after repairs
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Three state-run sites for diagnostic testing for the novel coronavirus have reopened after sustaining wind damage in Monday’s derecho, according to state officials.
The TestIowa sites in Cedar Rapids, Marshalltown, and Davenport reopened as of 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. They will operate until 6:00 p.m. that day, and begin running during the normal operating hours of 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Appointments that were scheduled during the closure need not be rescheduled, according to officials. Those persons can bring the QR code associated with their appointment and visit any of the TestIowa sites when possible. A similar accommodation will be made for persons who have appointments scheduled for later in the week but are unable to make them, due to storm cleanup efforts.
