CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - The Cedar Rapids Police Department on Wednesday morning said power is back to a section of northeast Cedar Rapids.

“Good news: Power has been restored for now to a section of NE Cedar Rapids, to include the Lindale, Collins Aerospace, and Target NE area,” the department said in a Facebook post. “Power has also been restored to a portion of downtown.”

The police department said there are trees and lines down in all quadrants of the city following Monday’s strong storm. Thousands of Iowans remained without power.
