Police seeking information following homicide in Clinton
CLINTON, Iowa (KCRG) - Law enforcement officials in an eastern Iowa city are asking for the public’s help in gathering information on a recent homicide.
The Clinton Police Department is investigating following the death of Saul D. Jackson on July 6. Officers were sent to a report of shots being fired in the 300 block of Second Avenue North at around 11:26 p.m. that night. They located Jackson’s body at the scene, dead from an apparent shooting.
Police are asking for any information about the shooting, or any suspicious vehicles in the area near the incident, from the public. Information can be relayed through the Clinton Police Department at (563) 243-1457 or Clinton Crimsetoppers at (563) 242-6595.
The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is assisting in the investigation.
