While watching the flood waters rise on Saturday, July 24th, 2010 from our lakehouse on Lake Delhi, this partial deck sailed by with the American and Iowan flags as above. It stood tall, almost saluting us it felt like. It was emotional and iconic, and maybe a sign of future camaraderie we will have to continue to form to get through this over the years to come.
