my pet goose...unique yet wonderful

when violet was born, maybe 10 or so years ago, his siblings drowned because of the mother goose not knowing what to do. We rescued Violet, and I took to raising him by hand. Violet was a very attached young gosling, and we had many cars stop at our house watching Violet follow me around the yard wherever I went. Even now, as a wonderful adult gander, he will let me hand feed him. (but only me....laugh) He has won champion goose at the Linn county 4H fair, and he has been to the local elementary schools during farm day. He is pretty picky, but he loves bananas and bread. He is quite the talker, and he will "talk" as soon as he sees people. I always liked to brag at school that I didn't need a watch dog, I had a watch goose=)
