What appeared to many nervous onlookers in Cedar Rapids Tuesday evening as a funnel cloud in the western sky was in actuality a steam plume emanating from the Duane Arnold Energy Center near Palo. The plume, which formed funnel-like, dissipated and formed again, was reacting to humid air around it. It finally dissipated for good around 8:15 PM. This photo was shot from Noelridge Christian Church in Cedar Rapids. July 6, 2010.
