We live about 2 miles NE of Walker in Buchanan county. I take a walk every morning about 6:30...we live on a class B road (dirt) and I noticed these foot prints. We are only a few miles from the Waspy. Could they be the bear's paw prints??? I know he was spotted in Jesup a short time ago. The pawprints went up most of the road.

Those are the tracks of a K9 not a bear... A bear will have more of a human type print with 5 prints infront of a larger print, like a human with 5 prints (toes) infront of a large palmation (foot)

Don't think these are bear tracks. Bear tracks look similar to human footprints only shorter. There would also be toe and claw imprints too. Those are huge tracks though at 5 inches. Could be a large breed dog. Try searching for bear tracks online.

Yes those are K9 tracks. I had some similiar ones I took photos of this winter where I thought they were mountain lion tracks and when I showed them to an outdoor and animal expert it was proven they were K9.

Canine , my labs paw prints spread out that large when he steps because of his webbed feet, they are not feline since there are claw marks and cats have retract claws, and bears have a lot more palm as mentioned before

These are K9 or Coyote tracks. Wolves are much much bigger and bears have a more human like foot. Cougars keep there claws in and the only big cat that keeps claws out is the Cheeta.

I remember bears being around occasionally when I was a little girl in Iowa. These are not bear prints, but they certainly are big. Maybe mt lion or bobcat?

i was not sure what they were...just knew they were big and that the bear might be in the area...my thought too was that they might be mt. lion or some other big cat or wolf...but I have never seen or heard of any in our area.
