A line of storms approached northeast Cedar Rapids just before midnight last night on Friday, June 25, 2010. Photo 1 shows the distant line of approaching storms illuminated by lightning around 11:30 PM while photo 2 shows the line as it appeared just a mile or so away a half-hour later.
