Descending Scud Cloud In Center Point

I headed north storm chasing Friday evening and stopped at Rydell Automotive in Center Point Iowa. At Rydell's entrance toward the back of the center, this unusual funnel-like scud cloud began to form out of a very turbulent sky, descend and drift by me. June 18, 2010.

We live in Cedar Rapids right off Blairsferry and Edgewood Rd. When the storm was coming in I saw the same thing. It was extremely low and it was more shaped as a funnel. While the rest of the sky was nearly black, it was lighter. Scary stuff.
