Liberty Centre Blues & BBQ

It's one day, one party, one cool time at Liberty Centre Blues & BBQ! The party is located in North Liberty at Liberty Centre Park on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend (May 30, 2010) from noon - 10pm. The event features amazing blues artists: Craig Erickson, Dennis "Daddy-O" McMurrin and the Demolition Band, Bob Dorr and the Blue Band, Kevin B.F. Burt and Wise Fools. There is also a variety of local vendors serving up great bbq. There's even a beer garden for adults to enjoy.

Best of all - the party is FREE and family-friendly. The Iowa Children's Museum will be on-hand and there will be tons of activities, such as a variety of inflatable rides, face painting, fishing, petting zoo, dunk tank, baseball zone, balloons and visit from the Fire Department and much, more more.

It's the fourth year for the party, which is held to give back to the community and show off the beauty of North Liberty and Liberty Centre pond. It's a wonderful alternative to taking a long road trip for vacation during Memorial Day weekend.

My kids and I have gone to the festival every year. It's such a nice time and everyone loves it! We take the dog, walk around and the kids play until they can't take it anymore. My husband and I take them home, get a sitter, then come back for beer.
