Marble Size Hail in North Liberty

Marble size hail litters the front yard of a home in the northern part of North Liberty Monday, April 5, 2010 as a band of severe storms moved through the area.

Maybe they say that in weather spotter class, but none of the weather people on tv use coin sizes for descriptions. it's always the size of some kind of ball, such as golf ball, softball, etc. And they've been saying that for decades.

i got about pea sized hail on the SW side, off bowling for about 5 min at the start of the heavy downfall.
