The grassroots campaign for Barack Obama in northeast Iowa hit high-gear Saturday July 15th at the riverfront in Elkader. Mr. Obama even got a chance to meet his legendary, furry supporter Mr. Eko who, with his owner Pat McNally, has walked in several parades throughout eastern Iowa. That same day, Mr. Eko followed Obama to Peosta in Dubuque County for another rally and another photo opportunity with the senator.
