The barbeque and dance will take place at the Hitchin' Post in Garrison. The dance will have music provided by Lazer Productions and DJ. Service. This years funds will be used for rennovations to build a new handicap accessable addition of 1000 sq. ft. that will be used for a meeeting room, fitness center for the volunteer firefighters, a generator room (for emergency water) and an emergency storm shelter. The cost of the new adddtion is $25,000 and will be split between the Garrison Fire Department, Garrison Fire Protection and the City of Garrison. The low cost of this addition is made possible, without the use of taxpayer money by volunteer help and the support of the community. Admission to the event is by donation. Tickets are available at the door or by calling the Garrison Fire Department at (319) 477-5041. The suggested donation for eaach ticket is $10 each. It will be a fun evening and a great opportunity to support a good cause. Photos are taken by Fire Chief Steve Meyer
