I just watched two birds that looked and sounded very much like bald eagles fly above the Jefferson and Dodge intersection in Iowa City. Did anyone else seen these birds around? A few people nearby saw and agreed that's what they looked like.

The non-profit agency Help Our Iconic Raptors (HAIR) asks you to support our nation's bald eagles. Donate to your local Hair Club for Eagles, or participate in the Boy Scouts' annual Rogaine for Eagles collection.

It seems to me that some won't miss something until it's truly gone. I might even miss GoHawks when he goes extinct like his neanderthal pals.

Have you looked outside? It is not 1974. I see more eagles than pigeons. Like I said, flying rats. They are just pretty buzzards.

They are every where now. Wild turkeys were also VERY rare not so long ago, now they are a dime a dozen

Hey 'Gohawks' maybe you should do a little research on the near extirpation of the Bald Eagle in the midwest before making such ignorant comments.

So what? These things are everywhere. They are like great big flying rats.
