Fall at my front yard.

Fall at my little cave in the woods.

I refer to my home in small town Iowa as my "little cave in the woods", my retreat, my refuge from the world.

I have some wonderful trees in my yard, two red maples in the front, a maple and oak in the back. They are all lovely through out the year but especially in the fall when the colors change. The maple in the back yard is so colorful and the oak's acorns attract squirrels but the most impressive images are from my front yard when the leaves begin to drop from the red maples. It's such a beautiful scene it seems a shame the leaves must be removed.

I don't envy you having to rake all those leaves, dixdee!
