Sept 12 was not only the date of the Iowa vs Iowa State game this year. It is also National Childhood Cancer Awareness Day. 5 families in Iowa joined forces to make Iowans aware that kids get cancer too. Iowa State wore Gold ribbons on their helmets in support and "Beat Cancer" shirts could be seen everywhere you turned in Jack Trice Stadium today. You can still order shirts at www.beatcancertoday.org and all proceeds will go to Curesearch which uses 98% of it's fund for research and finding a CURE!
