Not really sure what these clouds are called but there were holes in all of the centers. Just waiting for something to drop out of them.

These clouds were all a part of the storm that came through on 8-9-2009. I have seen the shelf cloud pictures and we did not have that type of cloud formation but thes clouds were eerie in their own way. The center of the cloud there were holes that looked like something could just fall right through it. It was really strange and we have never seen anything like this before. We are just Southwest of Strawberry Point, Iowa.
