These pictures were taken this morning 8.9.09 as the storms were just developing in Western Iowa. There was moderate rotation and a circular cloud formation on the first storm. I stood directly under it and could feel the wind switching directions as it moved over and it had a very strong RFD outflow on the back side. The second round of storms set up like a normal storm front with a small shelf (or Cigar) cloud on the leading edge.
